COMET Group strengthens its presence in Asia by opening its own application and service center in South Korea

Within the scope of its strategy to grow through intense marketing, COMET Group has opened its own subsidiary in the South Korean city of Suwon. The application and service center brings the group closer to existing and potential customers of RF Power Technology sold under the COMET brand. At the same time, the company is also setting up an application laboratory for YXLON X-ray systems used for checking electronic components.

By opening its own subsidiary in Suwon, COMET Group has taken a major strategic step toward underpinning its proximity to customers in Asia.

To react better and even more quickly to its customers' needs on the rapidly-growing Korean market for semiconductors, flat panel displays and LED, the group has had a highly-qualified team in place in South Korea since 1 December 2013. Customer-specific solutions based on COMET RF Power and YXLON X-ray Technology as well as user and engineering support will therefore be available right where customers need them, providing both existing and new customers with a significant advantage on the market.

The official opening ceremony on 2 December 2013 gave official representatives of Suwon and numerous customers an opportunity to find out more about the new site. COMET's guests included Claudio Mazzucchelli, Head Swiss Business Hub Korea, Counselor.

The newly opened subsidiary in Suwon is the fourth COMET Group location in Asia. Worldwide, COMET Group now has 12 locations.
