Change of leadership in the X-Ray Systems segment
The COMET Group appoints Detlef Steck as new President of the X-Ray Systems segment effective April 1, 2016. Stefan Moll is leaving the company.
Under its Strategy 2020 the COMET Group is planning strong growth through new applications and the intensified collaboration with key partners. In the X-Ray Systems business, having made substantial headway in operational excellence over the past several years, the focus now is on successfully taking advantage of the attractive growth opportunities. To lead this important work, the COMET Group has chosen Detlef Steck, who brings with him a strong track record of building and growing businesses in the technology/engineering sector.
Detlef Steck, 50, has held various leadership positions since 1997 at the ABB group, including positions as global business unit manager. For the last three years he was head of ABB's Discrete Automation & Motion division for the Central Europe region. Detlef Steck has Swiss and German citizenship. In addition to a PhD in industrial engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, he holds master's degrees in electrical engineering from ETH and in business from the University of St. Gallen.

Stefan Moll is leaving the company. The Board of Directors and CEO appreciate the valuable contribution made by Stefan Moll in the past three and a half years. They thank him sincerely and wish him all the best for the future.
